Do What u heart says....

Do What u heart says....

Horror gripped the heart of a World War-I soldier, as he saw his lifelong friend fall in battle. The soldier asked his Lieutenant if he could go out to bring his fallen comrade back. "You can go," said the Lieutenant, "but don't think it will be worth it. Your friend is probably dead and you may throw your life away."

The Lieutenant's words didn't matter, and the soldier went anyway.
Miraculously, he managed to reach his friend, hoisted him onto his shoulder and brought him back to their company's trench. The officer checked the wounded soldier , then looked kindly at his friend.

" I told you it wouldn't be worth it," he said. "Your friend is dead and you are mortally wounded." " It was worth it, Sir," said the soldier. "What do you mean by worth it?" responded the Lieutenant. " Your friend is dead." "Yes Sir," the soldier answered, " but it was worth it because when I got to him, he was still alive and I had the satisfaction of hearing him say...." Jim...I knew you'd come."

Many times in life, whether a thing is worth doing or not, really depends on how u look at it. Take up all your courage and do something your heart tells you to do so that you may not regret not doing it later in your life........

True Friendship

True Friendship

True friendship isn't seen with the eyes,
its felt with the heart,
when there is trust,
understanding,
secrets,
loyalty, and sharing . . .

Friendship is a feeling ,
very rarely found in life,
but when it is found ,
it has profound impact one's well-being,
strength and character.

A true friendship does not need elaborate gifts
or
spectacular events in order to be valuable or valued.

To ensure long-lasting quality and satisfaction,
a friendship only needs certain key ingredients:
1. Undying loyalty,
2. unmatched understanding,
3. unsurpassed trust,
4. deep and soulful secrets,
5. and endless sharing.

These ingredients, mixed with personality and a sense of humor,
can make a friendship last a lifetime.
This is just a thank you, my friends,
for all the wonderful and colorful ingredients you've brought to my life.

FIFTEEN LAWS OF ETHICS

- The First Law of Ethics – Unconditional Love

The universe is built in a way that allows all life forms to enjoy Peace, Prosperity, and Happiness, providing they use Unconditional Love in all their dealings. And Unconditional Love involves the helping of all those that come one's way to further their long term interests, helping them, giving them a push on their way ….

This law is logical, powerful, always effective, and never fails

Its effects can be felt much more powerfully when effected from the level of the Spiritual Body and with its approval. In other words we must first unite our Personality bodies with our Spiritual Bodies, and then all together, unite with God, then do the Unconditional Love action, after asking for the approval of our Spiritual Body.

-The Second Law of Ethics – Truth

Truth is not only about speaking the truth. There are three facets to truth.

First one must be true to himself, to his Personality and to his Spiritual Self,

Secondly one must acknowledge truth when one hears it or sees it. Thirdly one must speak the truth, always. And a person who is known to always speak the truth shines like a beacon in the night.

-The third Law of Ethics – Communication.

This is about discussing problems when they arise. Discussing with a view to solve the problem. And being prepared to give and take as necessary for the sake of finding a solution. And not stopping the discussions until a solution is found.

-The Fourth Law of Ethics – Judging others

One should not judge others without first placing himself in their shoes, and considering what he would have done in their place. Then giving allowance for their different environment and level of evolution

-The Fifth Law of Ethics – Creativity and Consciousness

Creativity is one of the prime necessities for advancing spiritually. This could be in searching for new ideas in one's work, Or a new recipe for a meal... Or a new decoration arrangement in ones room, hanging a picture, moving a chair...

This law means living one's life consciously, and using the tools of love and creativity

-The Sixth Law of Ethics – Responsibility:
One must be careful not to avoid one' s responsibilities Once a problem is placed before you which you feel it is up to you to solve it becomes your responsibility to solve it. And you should not shrink your responsibilities

-The Seventh Law of Ethics – Respect and Politeness

One must respect all others, friends and enemies, just as he respects himself, and must also insist that others respect his boundaries. And never say or even think of impolite things. This does not mean he should not express his disagreement with any event. But this can always be done in a polite and respectful & if possible humorous way.

-The Eighth Law of Ethics – Loyalty:
Be loyal to yourself, and to those who have entrusted you with their secrets in the expectation of getting your help.

-The Ninth Law of Ethics – Passion:
Whatever activity you do, do it with passion. Whether creating, drawing, singing, or dancing. Passion is a life-giving force

-The Tenth Law of Ethics – Justice:

Make sure all your decisions concerning yourself or others are fair, just, and unbiased.

-The Eleventh Law of Ethics – Faith:
When you have a problem for which you have asked your spiritual friends, or your personal God for help, faith is one of the essential constituents for it to be solved. And faith can literally "move mountains" when you have your spiritual friends helping.

-The Twelfth Law of Ethics – Forgiveness:
When you are attacked you have to go to the basic reasons and find out why you were attacked, and try to solve the matter intelligently.

Be careful not to respond in a way that will start a cycle of action and reaction.

Rather understand why you were attacked, forgive your attacker, do something to make him regret his action and apologise to you. This is a basic necessity to enable living in a community! What you actually do depends on your level of intelligence!

-The Thirteenth Law of Ethics – Paying your debts on time.
All business involves the giving of credit, and the keeping of stocks. This being the case, one has to also ask for credit from his suppliers. So let us consider these two conditions, giving and taking credit.

A tradesman or a manufacturer classifies his clients into 3 classes:

Class A: Current account. Client pays regularly at fixed one or two month intervals or as convenient to him.

Class B: Deliver goods against promissory notes at fixed dates

Class C: Only deliver goods against cash or certified checks.

Now let's consider the taking of credit.

Tradesmen and manufacturers also get classified into these same three classes. And since it is of vital importance for them to be able to buy on current account they have to build their credit rating. There are two ways to do this. Always paying your bills before due date! And regularly phoning your suppliers to "please send somebody to come and cash their check!" And it is surprising how quickly one gets known and classified by the trade.

-The Fourteenth Law of Ethics – Electing people into posts of power and influence

It is vital that all the posts of power and influence on our planet become occupied only by spiritually evolved members of society, recognisable by how they apply these laws of ethics. Those who have not reached this level will eventually evolve. But we should be careful not to put ourselves under the mercy of a non evolved being. His degree of evolution being obvious from the way he reacts with the laws of ethics.

The first and most obvious indication of non suitability of a person to take a position of power or responsibility is if he talks about others without respect for his opponent's opinion. The second indication is if he considers his personal interest and opinion more important than that of others. When you are aware of the importance of the laws of ethics, you will quickly be able to choose your representatives.

-The Fifteenth Law of Ethics – Respecting the opinions of others.

Considering that each one of us has built his opinions on the experiences of his past lives, on this and other planets, it is not strange that there are so many diverging opinions on any subject, so many currents of thought and religions. However much we may differ with other people in some of their ideas, we must realise that each one of us is an image of certain aspects of God, of different levels and paths, and must be respected and loved as such.

80 percent of India lives on half dollar a day

And they say .... India Shining
The state-run National Commission for Enterprises in the Unorganized Sector (NCEUS) said most of those living on below 20 rupees (50 US cents) per day were from the informal labor sector with no job or social security, living in abject poverty.

"For most of them, conditions of work are utterly deplorable and livelihood options extremely few," said the report, entitled "Conditions of Work and Promotion of Livelihoods in the Unorganized Sector," seen by Reuters on Friday.

"Such a sordid picture co-exists uneasily with a shining India that has successfully confronted the challenge of globalization powered by economic competition both within the country and across the world."

Around 26 percent of India's population lives below the poverty line, which is defined as 12 rupees per day, said officials.

Economic liberalization since the early 1990s has created a 300 million-strong middle class and led to an average annual economic growth of 8.6 percent over the last four years, but millions of the country's poor remain untouched by the boom.

According to the report, based on data from 2004-2005, 92 percent of India's total workforce of 457 million were employed as agricultural laborers and farmers, or in jobs such as working in quarries, brick kilns or as street vendors.

The report said the majority of those working and living under "miserable conditions" were lower castes, tribal people and Muslims and the most disadvantaged of these were women, migrant workers and children

Next Bill Gates could be an Indian: Microsoft CEO

Will the next Bill Gates come out of India? The question could not have been put to a more apt person, as it was on Wednesday evening in New Delhi’s Teen Murti Bhawan. Steve Ballmer has been a friend of Gates from his Harvard days before the latter dropped out and he himself left his studies at the Stanford Business School to become Microsoft’s first managerial employee.

Today, Ballmer is CEO of Microsoft, and he said it may not be professionally prudent to say so, but yes, India could well produce the next Gates. However, he reckoned such an individual may still choose to take his big idea to the US and base his company there, for “proximity to affluent companies to get his company off the ground”. This is why it is so important, he said while delivering the Madhav Rao Scindia Memorial lecture, that India keep growing at 8-10 per cent, to spread the circle of affluence in the country and become a magnet for innovative ideas.

Ballmer said his job at Microsoft — which incidentally has made him the 24th richest person in the world according to Forbes magazine — is to pick the right kind of people to make innovation possible. And in India, he said there needs to be a particular kind of innovation that makes computing devices affordable to a larger part of Indian society. Microsoft will harness all its values and principles so that 400-500 million Indians get access to computers.

He said India is the leader in IT industry: 30 per cent of all computer science graduates in the world passing out of Indian universities. “That puts a special responsibility on this country. The world is counting on the talent of this country to lead the next wave of innovation. We want access to the incredible talent graduating from universities here.”

Harnessing that talent, requires companies to work with a “big bold goal”. He recalled how in his early days at Microsoft in the 1970s, he had a case of nerves and wondered whether he had done right to quit business school and join this new company. Gates took him to dinner with his father and spoke of his ‘big bold goal’, to put a computer on every desk in every home. Perhaps that was the first time Gates thought up the goal, but it worked, and today Microsoft has grown from a mere 30 employees to 73,000 in the 26 years since Steve joined (18 per cent of its Seattle-based engineers are Indian.)

Moore’s Law — that is, computing power and affordability will increase by a factor of two every 18 months — will operate over the next decade, Ballmer reckoned. “The innovation over the next 10 years will be even more exciting,” he said. Take this obsolete piece of technology he said, waving a piece of paper. The computer industry will produce devices over the next decade which are as thin as paper, yet will deliver all the tasks expected from them. Digitisation will move apace, enabling the user’s productivity and creativity by reading voice and intent.

Yet, he said, two key fields are yet to harness the real potential of digitisation: healthcare and education. This requires innovation to meet very Indian requirements and for businesses to be more socially conscious.

INTERVIEW OF WARREN BUFFET

There was a one hour interview on CNBC with Warren Buffet, the second richest man who has donated $31 billion to charity. Here are some very interesting aspects of his life:

1. He bought his first share at age 11 and he now regrets that he started too late!

2. He bought a small farm at age 14 with savings from delivering newspapers.

3. He still lives in the same small 3-bedroom house in mid-town Omaha , that he bought after he got married 50 years ago. He says that he has everything he needs in that house. His house does not have a wall or a fence.

4. He drives his own car everywhere and does not have a driver or security people around him.

5. He never travels by private jet, although he owns the world's largest private jet company.

6. His company, Berkshire Hathaway, owns 63 companies. He writes only one letter each year to the CEOs of these companies, giving them goals for the year. Rule number 2: Do not forget rule number 1.

7. He does not socialize with the high society crowd. His past time after he gets home is to make himself some pop corn and watch Television.

8. Bill Gates, the world's richest man met him for the first time only 5 years ago. Bill Gates did not think he had anything in common with Warren Buffet. So he had scheduled his meeting only for half hour. But when Gates met him, the meeting lasted for ten hours and Bill Gates became a devotee of Warren Buffet.

9. Warren Buffet does not carry a cell phone, nor has a computer on his desk.
